Obi N. Okezie was appointed Training Admin/Instructor at NOIAA LTD, MEA Operations – On/Offshore Maritime Safety Training Centre in February 2026. He brings a strong blend of technical expertise, instructional experience, and administrative leadership to offshore safety training operations.
Prior to joining NOIAA, Obi served as Offshore Safety Instructor and Course Lead at Charkin Maritime and Offshore Safety Centre in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He also held technical roles as Process Control Technician at Benue State Water Board (2016–2019) and Quality Assurance Technician at Innoson Plastic Nigeria (2014), providing a solid foundation across water treatment, manufacturing, and offshore safety environments.
At NOIAA, Obi coordinates training schedules, instructor allocations, and course calendars, while managing trainee registrations, assessments, and certification documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and HSE standards. He supervises facility and equipment readiness, post-training reporting, and invoicing, and delivers practical training modules including advanced firefighting, helideck operations, safety leadership, and supervisory training aligned with international standards.
Obi holds a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Petroleum and Gas Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt. A BISO-certified Health and Safety Professional, he specializes in emergency response, root cause analysis, and structured workplace safety systems, advancing a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
