Trainee Information / Code of Conduct


Documents Required

For all courses, photo identification is required. This can be a passport, current driver’s license, or national identity card.

Your instructor will brief you on the following items:

  • Unit standards/elements to be assessed.
  • Purpose/process of assessment (qualification: competency system).
  • Amount and type of evidence to be collected, including time scale, venue, and special needs.
  • Code of conduct.
  • Appeals procedure explained.
  • Location of assessment explained.
  • Location of assessment results.

Assessment Process

Assessment involves the collection and evaluation of evidence about a trainee’s performance. It must be planned, recorded, and detailed to ensure sufficiency and fairness.

NOIAA LTD Safety Training Plc operates an internal moderation system alongside external moderation to ensure consistent assessment standards.


Privacy

Evaluation reports and assessment results may be viewed/reviewed by:

  • Course instructor/assessor.
  • Training Coordinator.
  • Quality Manager.
  • An ITO for moderation purposes.
  • Company database for record keeping.
  • Client/customer who contracted the training.

Examinations/Tests/Assignments/Practical Exercises

Trainees may be given assignments to complete outside of class. Participation in practical exercises is mandatory.

If a trainee does not demonstrate competence, a Non-Attainment form will be issued, and a re-sit opportunity provided within 30 days.


Appeal Process

If dissatisfied with an assessment decision, appeals can be made in writing to the Training Manager and subsequently to the General Manager.

A non-refundable fee of 50,000 francs, including VAT, applies if a private moderator is appointed.


Reassessment

Requests for reassessment should be directed to the Customer Service team or Facilitator.

Reassessment fees and arrangements will be discussed as needed.


Recognition of Prior Learning

Trainees may request assessment of prior learning. A fee applies, as outlined in the policy.


Trainee Rules and Code of Conduct

The following rules and code of conduct apply:

  • NOIAA premises are non-smoking.
  • No alcohol or non-prescription drugs.
  • No use of mobile phones during training.
  • Attendance is required for the full duration.
  • No outside visitors allowed.

Procedure for Non-Compliance

Failure to comply may result in dismissal from the course, with a report sent to the trainee's employer.


Welfare and Trainee Support

NOIAA provides a supportive environment that is non-sexist, non-racist, and culturally sensitive.


Fees Information

Full payment must be made before training unless negotiated otherwise. Overdue accounts will incur interest charges.


Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Course cancellations must be made in writing at least 5 working days before commencement to avoid a 50% charge.


Complaints Procedure

Complaints should be directed to the Facilitator, Training Coordinator, or Training Manager.

Further appeals can be made to NOIAA Corporation, Houston, Texas.

If a satisfactory outcome is not achieved the trainee should inform the sponsor (e.g. employer) and send a formal complaint to:
