Owing to its international and home based accreditations. This follows just after Cameroon's Energy providing company ENEO also picked up NOIAA as its main trainer for work at height and other safety training courses.

About the Course

The training took two days.

Day 1: Theoretical

Day 2: Practical works on poles or towers.

The training was conducted by NOIAA team of certified QSHE trainers.

Falls from height are one of the biggest causes of workplace fatalities and major

injuries. Common causes are falls from ladders and through fragile roofs. The

purpose of Work at Height/Rescue (WAHR) is to prevent death and injury from a fall from height.

Work at height means work in any place where, if there were no precautions in place, a person could fall a distance liable to cause personal injury.

Who Should Take This Working at Heights Course?

Anyone who works at height in any place, including a place at or below ground level, is required to undertake training to prove that they are competent and safe in their work.

It is the employer’s duty to ensure that this training is provided: Regulation 5 of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 states that employers must ensure all employees engaged in any work at height activity must be competent to do so. This includes, but is not limited to, professions such as:

  •  Gutter cleaning.
  •  Solar panel installation.
  •   Putting up displays.
  •   Minor roof work.
  •   Shelf stacking.
  •   Window cleaning.
  •   Unloading a vehicle.
  •   Machine maintenance.
  •    Excavations

On successful completion of the course delegates are handed quality assured certificates. This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.

At the end of the training, it was with a great smile that delegates expressed their satisfaction with the level of competency and knowhow of the trainers.

The trainers on their part were glad to see delegates successfully complete tasks assigned to them, being able to implement what was taught.
