NOIAA travels to Chad to train Petrochad (Mangara) Limited on Fall Arrest

NOIAA International Safety Training Plc, which is a subsidiary of NOIAA Conglomerate, Inc. base in 6250 West Park Dr. (Suite 218) Houston, Texas 77057 USA. has just trained participants amongst whom we had expatriates and locals of Petrochad (Mangara) A Glencore Company, with main office in the capital of the Republic of Chad.

Fall hazards are dangerous in the workplace and employees working near these hazards need to have adequate knowledge and training to work safely.

This comprehensive Fall Protection course is an effective and interactive way to keep you and your employees up-to-date with Fall Protection training requirements.

Considered a "full general training", this course can also be used for "refresher training".

The Training had as objectives and content:

·         Fall protection system assessments

·         Relevant regulations & standards applicable to fall protection: CE, OHSA, ANSI Z359.2 & CSA

·         Fall hazard elimination and control

·         Fall hazard surveys and procedures

·         Detailed equipment inspection

·         Development and implementation of fall protection plans and programs

·         Traditional fall protection (e.g. guardrails, handrails, etc.)

·         Fall restraint systems

·         Fall arrest systems (including personal fall arrest systems, nets, safe work zones, horizontal & vertical safety lines)

·         Davits, tripods and associated winches required when accessing confined spaces

·         Fall protection rescue procedures

·         Selection and use of non-certified anchorages

·         Competent person responsibilities

While all efforts have been made to ensure the training meets regulatory requirements, a ‘site specific’ or ‘hands on’ tutorial is sometimes required.  Delegates are being taught the safe use of any specific equipment used on their job site (i.e. aerial lifts, swing stages etc.).

At the end of the training, trainees are awarded certificates that has a validity period of two (02) years after which they are required to go for a refresher.

This course is available in English or French as our training department is made up of highly bilingual professionals with many years of experience in the field of Work at Height and Fall Rescue Training. If your company finds it difficult sending It’s trainees to our multipurpose Centre at our Africa Operations Head Office in Victoria (today Limbe) Cameroon to take the training, we can send our trainers onsite to conduct the training like we just did with PetroChad (Magara) a Glencore Company in Chad.

Just like Olive Twist, the trainees at the end of the training requested the training duration be extended up to four (04) days as they really enjoyed the lectures. Many others were worried by the absent of handout. The trainer from NOIAA on their part did make it clear that, in future, delegates interested in studying materials could always get them in soft copy and should therefore come along with their memory stick or any material that can carry digital information. NOIAA is poised to giving the best to its trainees.

We're looking for talented people with the right attitude and experience to join our crew of curious and passionate individuals.
